1 Most of the manual codes do not work so use the search code method as follows: Turn on the device you want to control (such as a dvd player). On the remote, hold down Code Search until the red light right next to it comes on and stays on.

0 Next, on the remote, hit the dvd button. The red light will blink one time. After it blinks, point the remote at the dvd player and hit the power button on the remote slowly and repeatedly until the dvd player turns off. As soon as the dvd player turns off hit the Enter button to store the code. If you do not hit enter at this time the code will not be stored and you will have to start all over again. To test it, hit the dvd button and then hit power. The dvd player should turn back on.
